Where do you want to go on your next vacation?
Submitted by beth.
Thanksgiving with Liz!! It'll be a vacation from the extended in-laws. Not that I dislike them or anything, but it gets pretty chaotic with that many people under one roof. Plus we get to see the Lyzard :D And the Liam... and the Lyzard PU's.
What would you attempt to do if you knew you wouldn't fail?
Submitted by Beautifully Broken
Grad school... but I'm attempting that anyway! Even though I have no clue how I'll do. It'd be great if I didn't fail miserably. We'll see, I guess.
Other than that.. dressage. Part of me still keeps hoping. ;)
Elections are just around the corner, who will you be casting your vote for?
Obama. :D
What is the most interesting class you have ever taken?
Submitted by Melissa.
Astronomy, English 202 (Critical thinking/writing composition), and Social Psychology.
My astronomy teacher was just weird and funny and the class was interesting.
In my English class we covered a lot of interesting topics (government, reality, the nature of dreams, religion, etc), read different viewpoints on them, and then wrote a paper on it. I like to write.
And my Social Psyc class is interesting because it just is. :P It's also the class that I've done the best in so far.
What were the main household rules when you were growing up? What are the rules in your own house now?
Brought to you by the movie Georgia Rule.
Growing up we had a few rules that I can remember... Don't let the cats out, be quiet, tell the parental units if you want to go somewhere, and whatever you do, *don't disturb the ogre*.
But between Patrick and I, we don't have any :). Although I suppose no leaving glasses out with milk in them for days/weeks/months/years/centuries/millennia counts as one. ;)
When was the last time you interacted with any sort of wildlife?
Submitted by warpedreality.
There were some wild ducks meandering around outside our house. I went and fed them some bread. I don't think I made the pieces small enough, because they didn't eat more than one. Either that or they didn't like our 12 grain bread. ;)
Back when I lived in California I encountered wildlife of all kinds. We had a stray emu (although that doesn't really count as wildlife). We also had snakes, mice, scorpions, and spiders inside our house. Always fun. Gopher snakes were pretty cool, but not the rattlesnakes. I helped a gopher snake cross the road one day because I didn't want one of the neighbors to run it over. But I'm a dork.
If money were no object, which five luxury items would you rush right out and buy?
Submitted by lorilyn.
In the order that comes to mind... I'd be boring and pay for college. Then.... I'd buy WH any geek (or non-geek) items of choice. Ooooh, then a horse and all the board. Maybe a car. And... a house. Yup. And I know this is #6, but I'd donate to lupus research organizations. Cures/treatments=good.
What do you always forget to pack?
Submitted by quornflour.
The last thing I forgot was some prescriptions when I came here for a visit. Oops. My parents overnighted them to me. Hehehe.
Girl, boy, game you should have won, job you should have gotten…tell us about one that got away.

When I worked for a "trainer", there were always horses here and there that I really liked but were either not for sale or way out of my price range. And they always had serious issues, too (why else would they come in for training?).
There was Prince, a little Azteca gelding with a serious rearing problem. As soon as a rider got on, he'd go into a rearing fit of nonstop rearing. He was assigned as "my project" and for some reason, never even came close to rearing (it was the carrots I gave him). Once he got over the initial rearing, he was ok. He still had issues, but he was a sweet horse with awesome movement. He wasn't for sale and I don't think my parents would've let me have him anyway. So one day the owner's boyfriend decided to pay him a visit (the first in months), decided that the horse looked fine when I rode him so he should be able to ride him, too. Kinda makes sense.. they brought the horse there so that *they* would be able to ride him. But I really wish they would've talked to us about before just randomly doing it, especially since the guy was not a very experienced rider. So, guy gets on, horse spazzes, guy falls off. Then he gets pissed off and takes the horse elsewhere. Where, I dunno.
Then there was Monty... He was a _beautiful_ chestnut Hanoverian. He was one of the "trainer's" friend's imported horses. He had a spinning problem. He spun a few riders off of him. He wasn't all that bad about it, if you asked him to stop he would. He was for sale for $15,000. That was just a wee bit out of my (my parents', really) pricerange. The owner said she'd sell him to me for $7000 since she knew me and was a friend of the "trainer" I was working with. Still out of our pricerange. He was such a sweet horse though. The owner eventually got annoyed with the place that she was boarding at and moved elsewhere.
What are some charitable causes that you support or would like to support?
Lupus foundation of America: http://www.lupus.org/newsite/index.html
Or any cause that supports people with diseases/disabilities/etc. Because they suck. You never really understand what it's like until it happens to you. So, any cause that promotes research towards a cure is good IMO.
Hehehehe.... I would never exaggerate. Never never never. :) And *ewwww*... months?! Did you have to throw the cup away?... read more
